The Belledune Port Authority holds its 2026 Annual General Meeting and releases 2025 Annual Report
The Belledune Port Authority (BPA) held its 2026 Annual General Meeting on June 23, 2026, under the central theme “Building for our Region, Building for Canada.” Alongside the meeting, the BPA officially released its 2025 Annual Report, showcasing steady operational resilience, deep community integration, and the solidification of key commercial and environmental partnerships.
The Port announced that a total of 1,882,741 metric tonnes of product moved through its facilities during 2025. The presented financial position highlighted a sustained operational performance despite navigating dynamic global shifts.

Key Highlights of 2025
- New Commercial Tenancy: Welcomed global fuel supplier Greenergy as a key tenant at the Tank Farm, significantly strengthening regional liquid bulk capabilities and energy logistics.
- 25 Years as a Federal Port: Marked a historic quarter-century milestone since its designation under Transport Canada, celebrating decades of regional economic leadership and trade growth.
- Successful Public Open House: Hosted approximately 400 regional community members on June 25 for site tours, interactive activities, and operational insights.
- Corporate Citizenship: Continued direct support for local organizations and community well-being through meaningful corporate donations.
- Workforce Development Milestone: Successfully concluded the 18-month mandate of the Community Workforce Development Committee, establishing a strong foundation for local skills training and future regional labor partnerships.
- Elevated Environmental Partnerships: Achieved a higher tier of Green Marine certification through extensive mapping of local aquatic ecosystems and participation in the DFO’s Aquatic Invasive Species Coastal Monitoring Program, while joining Green Economy New Brunswick to support regional sustainability goals.
