The Port of Belledune is proud to announce that it has successfully achieved Green Marine certification for 2026, reaffirming its commitment to environmental stewardship, sustainable operations, and continuous improvement in environmental performance.

The Belledune Port Authority (BPA) held its 2026 Annual General Meeting on June 23, 2026, under the central theme “Building for our Region, Building for Canada.” Alongside the meeting, the BPA officially released its 2025 Annual Report, showcasing steady operational resilience, deep community integration, and the solidification of key commercial and environmental partnerships.

This past week, the Port of Belledune was honored to co-host an inspiring group of leaders for the Celebrating Women in Renewable Energy (WIRE) event. It was a landmark day dedicated to the brilliant women who are not just participating in the energy transition, but leading it with vision and expertise.

The Belledune Port Authority (BPA) welcomed Captain Glen Burton, Master of the Western Tugger/ Arctic Lift 1, and its 7-person crew as the First Ship of 2026. The Western Tugger / Arctic Lift 1 loaded aggregate delivered from Roy’s Trucking to the Magdalen Islands in Quebec. Stevedoring services were provided by our longtime partner Quebec Stevedoring Limited (QSL).

Today, Greenergy and the Belledune Port Authority announce that they have entered into a long-term lease of a tank facility in the deep-water import terminal in northern New Brunswick, Canada. This marks a strategic investment in the port and a new addition to Greenergy’s existing fuel terminal network.

The BPA marked a year of growth, strategic partnerships, and community-focused progress in 2024, laying strong foundations for the future of green energy and economic development in Northern New Brunswick. These highlights were shared during the Port’s virtual Annual General Meeting.

The Belledune Port Authority (BPA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) today with the Port of Antwerp-Bruges to work together to set up a supply chain for clean fuels and green manufacturing goods, with the priority focused on hydrogen and its derivates.
