Belledune, NB – June 18, 2025 – The Belledune Port Authority (BPA) marked a year of growth, strategic partnerships, and community-focused progress in 2024, laying strong foundations for the future of green energy and economic development in Northern New Brunswick. These highlights were shared during the Port’s virtual Annual General Meeting, where it also released its 2024 Annual Report.

2024 marked the election of a new provincial government under Premier Susan Holt. We value the strong relationship we had with the previous government and are encouraged by Premier Holt’s commitment to advancing the work on our Green Energy Hub. The appointment of two ministers from Northern New Brunswick—Minister René Legacy and Minister Gille Lepage—to key economic development portfolios is a positive step forward for our region.
