Critical Minerals

The Port of Belledune is a premier Industrial processing hub where minerals can be refined, upgraded, or converted using clean power. By leveraging our deep-water advantages and strategic partnerships, we provide a streamlined, reliable pathway for Canadian minerals to reach global markets, including Europe.

Strategic Infrastructure & Capacity
The Port currently handles 2.5 million tonnes of product per year. With targeted investment in key infrastructure, we have the capacity to significantly increase this number.

A Specialized Export Corridor

We are simplifying the logistics chain by removing bottlenecks and creating a more direct route for Canadian critical minerals to reach the world stage.

Collaborative Growth

Our mineral strategy balances economic opportunity with environmental and social responsibility.

"The Canadian government recognizes the strategic importance of the critical mineral industry and has announced significant financial support for essential infrastructure development. We are ready to seize this opportunity." — Denis Caron, President & CEO
