Strategic Infrastructure & Capacity
The Port currently handles 2.5 million tonnes of product per year. With targeted investment in key infrastructure, we have the capacity to significantly increase this number.

Scalable Operations: We offer a rare combination of available land for terminal expansion and natural deep-water access.
Expert Terminal Management: Through a new 25-year lease agreement, our logistics partner QSL provides tailor-made solutions to support growing mineral activities.
Modernized Terminals: Recent $40 million upgrades to Terminals 3 and 4—supported by the National Trade Corridor Fund—have expanded our operational footprint and improved efficiency for handling diverse cargo.

A Specialized Export Corridor

We are simplifying the logistics chain by removing bottlenecks and creating a more direct route for Canadian critical minerals to reach the world stage.

Intermodal Strength: In collaboration with the Canadian National Railway, the Port serves as a crucial trade point for moving product efficiently into and out of the region.
Value-Added Processing: Our Green Energy Hub is designed to use clean electricity to process critical minerals into value-added products, strengthening the Canadian economy.
Global Reach: Strategic MoUs with major European ports, including Hamburg, Rotterdam, and Antwerp, create a trade corridor for sustainable products and materials.
